ATTENTION - THE OAK HILLS 8TH WARD HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CARE AND UPKEEP OF THE CENTER PART OF THE CHURCH BUILDING (THE CHAPEL, CULTURAL HALL, STAGE, AND HIGH COUNCIL ROOM).

THIS IS A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY AMONG ALL OF US.  

If your last name begins with the letters F, G, or H, please consider staying after church for just a bit to help pick up and vacuum.  Please meet Mikhail Pappin by the kitchen to help out.

Ward Activities: 

Monday 7 PM Pickleball (Cultural Hall), FHE & Games,  Service Activity (RS Room - making knit hats), Lego building group (Children's Meeting Room)

Tuesday 7 PM Volleyball (Cultural Hall), Institute (RS Room)

Note: Volleyball will be on the first, third, and fourth Tuesdays of the month. The second Tuesday of the month will be Ward  Temple Night.

-June 21 (Saturday) - Ward Temple Morning, Mount Timpanogos Temple. 10 AM  session (endowment), meet at 8:45 AM to carpool. We also have a small number of seats for initiatories at 11:30 AM at the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Please contact a Temple Committee member if you would like a spot. You will need to secure your own ride since others will already be at the temple. 

-June 28 - Salem Pond Day, 2-5 PM. See Facebook page here, for more information. Bring your own fun (Kayaks, Paddle boards, tubes, corn hole exc). We will have a few for others to borrow and use but would prefer people bring their own.

Musical Numbers: If you are interested in doing a musical number during sacrament meeting, please contact Lindsay Priday.

Reminder: Activities will be wrapping up around 10:15 pm because the building needs to be cleaned and locked up by 10:30 pm. In the recent past we have done activities until the sun come up, but now we will respect the 10:30 pm time. Please plan your attendance accordingly. 

Provo City Center Temple is closed throughout June

Temple Foundations Class: Join us for Temple Foundations class. We meet in th high council room during Sunday School hour. It is not Temple Prep. The Temple Foundations class is about enhancing our understanding of the temple, covenants, worship in the house of the Lord, and ministering on both sides of the veil.  Anyone can come to all the lessons or only the topics that most interest them. 

June 15 - "What if I feel nervous or uncomfortable going to the temple? Or feel like I have to be perfect to go?"

Big News!! We created a Group Me for temple work. Search for “Oak Hills 8th Ward Temple Group” in the Group Me app. It's similar to the walking group (please see above for more information), you can post something like "I am doing the 7:00pm session at Provo City Center on May 10 if anyone wants to join meet in the temple chapel at 6:45pm”
